작년 기초과학연구원에서는 연구안정화와 실험 및 이론 관련 분야의 협동연구를 강화하기 위해 처음으로 ‘클러스터’ 제도를 출범했습니다. 최초의 클러스터인 ‘입자 및 핵 연구 클러스터’는 기존의 입자-핵 관련 이론 및 실험 연구단의 연합체로서 지하실험연구단, 순수물리 – 입자 및 우주론 연구단, 순수물리 – 중력 및 우주물리 연구단, 희귀핵 연구단 이렇게 네 개의 연구단으로 구성되어 있고 공동 단장 체제로 운영 중입니다. 이에 해당 클러스터에 속하는 연구단들의 활동과 클러스터의 역할에 대한 소개를 취지로 하는 특별 세션을 요청하는 바입니다. (Last year, the Institute for Basics Science (IBS) kicked off the system of research cluster aiming for active collaboration among the related research centers. In the session, there will be an introduction on the first ever cluster, "Particle and Nuclear Physics Research cluster" is composed of the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe - Particle Physics and Cosmology center, Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe – Gravity and Astrophysics center, Center for Underground Physics, and Center for Exotic Nuclear Studies.)
